Our client, a leading mining supplier company with a strong commitment to sustainable operations and the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices is looking to find an Operation Manager for their site in Timika, Papua. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in operations management, with a focus on health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive operational excellence while fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations at the site, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and HSE regulations.

  • Develop and implement operational plans to optimize productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Oversee the procurement and inventory management process to ensure timely availability of supplies and materials.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including logistics, procurement, and maintenance teams, to streamline operations and resolve issues promptly.

  • Champion a culture of safety by promoting adherence to HSE policies and procedures, conducting regular safety inspections, and implementing corrective actions as needed.

  • Monitor environmental performance and implement initiatives to minimize environmental impact, including waste management and rehabilitation efforts.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to site staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the mining industry.

  • Strong background in health, safety, and environmental management, with a proven track record of implementing HSE best practices.

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve operational excellence.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering results.

  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards governing mining operations in Indonesia.

  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and verbal.
