Job Description

Select Headhunter is seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Engineer or Business Development Manager to join our multinational client. As a Commercial Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing commercial projects, ensuring their successful execution from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with clients, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of commercial construction projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage commercial projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with contractors, and other stakeholders to develop project plans, including cost estimates, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather information and identify project requirements and constraints.
  • Prepare and review project proposals, contracts, and specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and client expectations.
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide regular project updates.
  • Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks and resolve any issues or delays that may arise.
  • Conduct cost analysis and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective strategies and efficient resource utilization.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, including engineers, architects, and contractors, to ensure high-quality project delivery.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and financial records.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering or Geotechnical and related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in managing commercial construction projects, preferably in a supervisory or project management role.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, building codes, and regulations.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
